Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shakar, the American and British sitar artist. She is the youngest female and was the first person to receive the British House of Commons shield. Anoushka Sitar Shankar is one of the Indian young sitar singer. She is a student as well as daughter to Ravi Shankar. Her birthplace was London in 1982, and during her early years, she swam in London New Delhi. When she arrived in New Delhi, she made her first appearance at only 13 years of age. Then she moved into Encinitas CA, where she earned the High School diploma with honors in 1999. Even though she's very young, Anouskha is an accomplished performer and recording record. She regularly performs with her dad and has performed with him for quite a number of years. She has released Anourag her debut album on her own in 1998. The album was titled the album Live At Carnegie Hall, a Grammy-nominated album two years later. Her stage career is very extensive for she has been in every one of the world's major venues. Anoushka Shankar's work isn't only limited to performing in music. In 2002, she wrote a book entitled Bapi The Love of My Live this is a pictorial biography which gives a special tribute to her father Ravi Shankar. in 2003 she was a part on Dance Like a Man as the Bharat Natyam dancer. Anoushka's career is still developing and she'll continue to accomplish many amazing things in the future. Anoushka Shakar was born in England spent a large part of her time between London Delhi. After moving to California she completed the high school. She started learning to play the guitar at age 9 and played the sitar in celebration of the 75th anniversary her father's birth in Delhi just four years after. Alongside her father, he toured the world Anoushka had a wealth of experiences appearing in Carnegie Hall while still in her teens. She performed at Peter Gabriel's WOMAD festival as well as making recordings together with George Harrison. She was the first woman to receive the House of Commons Shield, awarded by British Parliament as recognition of her musical talent and artistic ability in performing in the Asian Arts.
